Natalia Lafourcade nació en una familia de músicos y se crió en Veracruz donde empezó a cantar con bandas locales a la edad de 10 años. Comenzó su carrera con música pop-adolescente en 2002, pasó al pop-rock en 2005 y al pop convencional en 2009 , ganando 12 premios Grammy hasta 2018. Desde su cuarto álbum ‘Mujer Divina – Homenaje a Agustin Lara’ (2012), explora los clásicos del folk sudamericano con delicadeza, talento y originalidad – como se muestra en su reciente y sabroso cover con tintes de jazz de la canción de Mercedes Sosa ”Alfonsina y el Mar‘ (1969) – mientras entrega sus propias composiciones celestiales como ‘Un derecho de nacimiento‘ (2012), ‘Mexicana hermosa‘ (2017), ‘Danza de gardenias‘ o ”Hoy mi día uno‘ (2018).
