Simple Mind extends its endeavours over 40 years with 230 songs in 20 studio LPs. The Band appears in 1977 on the Glasgow post-punk scene, finds marginal success with its 3 initial LPs and then dominates the British new-wave rock in 1981-85 with a dense, powerful and clean sound that gathers mainstream acceptance. Despite their mild commercial results, the band’s subsequent 13 LPs keep delivering superior rock during 30 years.
